Jo Chambers was a valued member of the SWAG Patient and Public Voice Group. In 2022 Jo had a vision of an easy-to-use database that would help those living with cancer find information on support, therapies and activities in their local area. Jo taught herself the necessary skills alongside her personal experience of cancer to develop a web-based library that allowed users to find information quickly and easily, and that information was also shared with the Cancer Care Map team who were developing their national directory of cancer support services. Jo passed away in June 2023, but her inspired ideas, determination and selfless hard work will continue through our partnership with Cancer Care Map.
