SWAG Cancer Alliance Workforce

Prioritising our staff, their wellbeing, learning and development, and recruiting into new areas of the Cancer Alliance. This ambitious plan aims to alleviate the stresses and pressures facing staff today, valuing, caring and developing our staff at all levels. This will include facilitating learning, professional development, career progression, staff wellbeing and providing opportunities to grow as individuals, and as part of the team.

Focusing on our 3 key areas

ACCEND

The Aspirant Cancer Career and Education Development Programme (ACCEND) provides a framework that identifies the core knowledge, skills, and behaviours of the cancer workforce.

Significant advancements have been made in cancer diagnosis, treatment, and management, and to meet the challenge, treatments employing enhanced technology and genetics have been developed. The Workforce Education and Development opportunities should reflect this.
